there was one point in time where i was on a burger-eating-spree. for some reason i was buger-crazy for tht 2 weeks. i had so many burgers that i got so sick of burgers after that.
decided to try out crayon burger in ss15. thing is i'm a subang kid, and i'm a foodie. and when i'm hungry, i just want my food, like, now. so i love going to ss15. the hidden gems in fifteen-unbelievable. i never knew there were so many foodjoints for foodies in good old regular fifteen.
priding on their colorful buns, this place is swamped especially during the weekends. well, you get to choose the colour shade of your buns or they'll randomly give you one. they have the red bun (red yeast) pink (red yeast), greyish black (charcoal), green (vege), and a milky pastel colour (milk-flavoured). so basically like the many burger joints around, you order your burger, and for an additional 5 bucks, you get fries and a refillable drink.
5 bucks for a refillable drink was a dead-set-offer for me. i love caramelized onions so i went for the classic-chicken, topped with sharp cheddar and i added an egg to my burger. i picked the red color red yeast bun. personally i thought that the chicken breast fillet was cooked to perfection. the meat was moist throughout, not dry at all, which was pretty impressive for a breast fillet. we all know how bad a reputation chicken breasts have for being too dry. the fries however, was a disappointment. some were undercook.
thing is, i've read online where people have said that the fries were amazing, whereas the chicken fillet was super-overcooked and dry. so personally i think its a luck thing and their cooking ain't fine-tuned such that they aare consistent with the quality of their food. portion wise, i thought it was a little small. i whacked my fries and my friends fries because she's not a big eater, and i was still so-so. or maybe i'm just a humungous eater? and yes i was hungry to have whacked the not-very-yummy fries.
so, for huge eaters, i would suggest getting the rainbow instead which has a double patty. you can add eggs to your burger too like i did. i always feel like the slightly runny yolk combined with the patty of the burger brings your burger experience to a whole different level.
