decided to try out this considerably newly opened place in fifteen. there's no such thing as being too full for dessert.
this place is like a little cafe, having an array of pastries and cakes on display. they have main meals as well, but that wasn't what i was there for. i was there for one purpose and one purpose only-dessert! choosing the dessert was a no brainer for me. i had the caramel pavlova and the green tea tiramissu. i mean look at the pavlova, its was like calling out to me 'come have me'. okay, moving on before i go a little nuts. basically their desserts are all on display, and you pick to order. they have everything from bread to cakes to macaroons to chocolates to pastries, to mousse.
caramel pavlova beat serai's hands down. the texture-was the melt in your mouth marshmellowy kind. and might i add it was huge. bigger than serais and much more worth it. 7.90, half the price of serai's and 10 times the flavour. its definitely a must try. i would even say the best pavlova in town. they have a berry pavlova as well. click here to read of serai's pavlova for comparison.
this was also priced at 7.90. i'm a sucker for greentea and adzuki beans. layered between the mascarpone cheese and greentea sponge were adzuki beans. my thoughts on this were 'maybe i'm not such a big greentea fan afterall'. i preferred the classic coffee tiramissu to this. this just didn't cut it. didn't like it at all. plus for 7.90, i'd go for the pavlova anytime.
