porridge time @sunway pyramid

porridge time, more familiar name being its canto name feng yi zhuk sek. i was really fascinated by the name of this porridge shop. i mean its blurdy cool. feng yi zhuk sek basically means, surviving sufficiently, and since the 3rd word is pronounced similarly to porridge in chiense, they replaced the 3rd word with porridge and that made their name. well i thought it was cool hehe. but in english, its just known as porridge time.

so i like how they served the porridge in claypots. the porridge comes piping hot. i know because i was rushing for my movie, and was like oh-my why is my porridge so hot after ages, i'm going to be late for my movie. i love claypot anything, so unsurprisingly, i loved the porridge here. the consistency of the porridge was perfect for me and the portion was good as well. i felt like i had a never-ending-supply of porridge. on the side, you add your own sesame oil, soy sauce and pepper, to your own pallate. i had the fish porridge with an extra salted egg. i mean porridge without salted egg, is like an incomplete dish. hehe. as you can see from the menu, they also serve up other claypot dishes as well, but a shop that prides itself on their porridge, i mean of course u order their porridge.

definitely good porridge. a place i'd go back to for porridge when i'm in a mall, craving for hearty porridge. love the consistency, love the range of options, and love the flavours.
